Senior Backend Engineer (TypeScript + Node.js)

Location: Hybrid in Gdańsk, Poland, with regular in-studio collaboration in Gdańsk, Wrzeszcz.

Salary: 169–190 PLN/hour + VAT on B2B or 20,750–23,240 PLN gross on UoP.

What you will do

• Build and evolve a next-generation passwordless authentication platform used by millions worldwide.
• Develop backend and full-stack solutions with TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Work with advanced biometrics to secure digital identities and enable seamless access.
• Take ownership of technical solutions and help shape how products are built.
• Use AI tools to support coding, testing, documentation, and team collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with the team and participate in regular in-studio work.

Requirements

• At least 6–8 years of experience building digital products as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript, plus hands-on Node.js experience.
• Confidence working across the stack and taking ownership of solutions.
• Experience using AI tools for coding, testing, documentation, and collaboration.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Good knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, and modern web communication patterns.
• Experience with backend testing approaches and tools.
• Very good communication skills in English and Polish.
• Willingness to occasionally work with frontend technologies.
