Senior Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Kraków, Poland. Hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office, or 2 days per week for a parent of a child up to 4 years old.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend solutions and next-generation application platforms for Alternatives fund services.
• Break down and estimate tasks, communicate within and outside the team, and contribute to architecture and design discussions.
• Write unit and integration tests, fix defects, and support and debug production issues.
• Integrate backend APIs, collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts, and work closely with frontend teams.
• Use and help build CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and deliver releases.
• Participate in code reviews, follow coding standards, work in distributed Scrum/Kanban teams, and maintain Liquibase migrations.

Requirements

• Solid Angular skills, including components, services, and RxJS.
• Solid UI skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Spring MVC, Spring Data, and Spring Security, or the ability to collaborate effectively with backend teams.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and ORM using JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit, Mockito, or Spock.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and CI/CD, including Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle; familiarity with OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to read and write SQL.
• Ability to support production debugging, participate in code reviews, and work in distributed Agile teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of NgRx and Signals.
• OpenShift preferred.
