Software Test Automation Engineer (QA)

Location: Cebu City, Philippines; fully remote

What you will do

• Test products before release and contribute QA input throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create test plans, perform risk analysis, and design test cases for product quality validation.
• Apply static, black-box, exploratory, UI, and other testing techniques.
• Implement and execute automation scripts adapted from manual test cases using the project’s testing tools.
• Integrate test automation into the build process and introduce practices that improve testing and product quality.
• Collaborate with international colleagues and recommend software improvements to enhance user experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a test engineer, including at least 3 recent years in automation testing.
• Proficiency in writing test cases with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Java.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber, and Pytest.
• Experience with test planning, test case creation, and test execution.
• UI testing experience, preferably on mobile and/or web application projects.
• Experience testing applications in Docker environments and using Git-based version control systems.
• Experience working in Scrum or other iterative software development environments and ability to participate in multiple Scrum projects simultaneously.
• Proactive, self-directed approach with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and English communication skills.
• Previous experience leading a team of testers and mentoring less experienced testers on testing practices and approaches.
• Relevant educational background.
