TL;DR
QA Engineer (Python): Building automated tests and API validation for software products with an accent on test automation, CI/CD integration, and clean test-code practices. Location: Fully remote in Portugal or Spain; candidates must already be based in Portugal or Spain and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do
- Design and maintain automated tests using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Build and maintain test automation with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or REST-assured.
- Perform API testing covering REST, JSON, authentication, contract validation, and schema validation.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Apply Agile/Scrum practices, Git, code reviews, and clean-code standards to test code.
- Use AI tools such as LLMs and Copilot to accelerate test design, test-data creation, and automation code development.
Requirements
- 4+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years of test automation.
- Test automation experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or REST-assured, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with REST API testing, JSON, authentication, contract validation, and schema validation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, Git, code reviews, and clean-code standards for test code.
- Fluent English at C1 level.
- Availability for fully remote work from Portugal or Spain, with Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.
Nice to have
- AWS, Docker, and cloud-native test environments.
- Performance testing with k6, JMeter, or Gatling.
- SQL data testing.
