Legal Counsel EMEA

What you will do

• Act as the lead legal advisor for hirify.global's Convenience Retail businesses across EMEA.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advise leadership and business teams on legal, regulatory, commercial, and business risks.
• Support data privacy and governance initiatives, including GDPR and UK GDPR compliance.
• Advise on employment law matters with HR and specialist legal colleagues.
• Manage compliance, ethics, risk, disputes, claims, litigation, stakeholder training, and strategic legal improvement projects.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in the UK and/or an EU jurisdiction.
• Approximately 7+ years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
• Experience engaging with and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters effectively.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across international teams.
• Curiosity, adaptability, a growth mindset, and genuine interest in how businesses operate and create value.

Nice to have

• Experience in a multinational business or internationally recognized law firm.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation experience.
• Experience supporting complex commercial transactions and strategic partnerships.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Interest in legal technology and process improvement.
• Experience in highly regulated industries.
• Exposure to transportation, mobility, fueling, convenience retail, or EV charging sectors.
• Ability to occasionally support meetings outside standard EMEA business hours.
