Distinguished Software Engineer (IC-7) - CZ

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; remote work is possible only when the employee is located in the Czech Republic and is eligible to work in the Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Influence long-term technical strategy, architectural principles, engineering standards, and platform investments across products and teams.
• Architect, develop, and deliver AI-powered product capabilities and intelligent automation using LLMs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, and agentic workflows.
• Write, review, test, and deploy production code while leading implementation of complex, business-critical software capabilities.
• Guide enterprise SaaS architecture modernization, improving scalability, performance, resilience, observability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Champion CI/CD, DevSecOps, testing, automation, engineering metrics, and continuous improvement.
• Advise Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and executive leadership; mentor Principal Engineers, senior developers, architects, and emerging technical leaders.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex enterprise software products and platforms.
• Experience as a Distinguished Engineer, Principal Engineer, Staff Engineer, Chief Architect, or equivalent senior technical individual contributor.
• Exceptional hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and enterprise application architecture.
• Deep experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise SaaS platforms, including initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams or product areas.
• Proven experience building and delivering AI-powered software capabilities in production environments, with practical experience in AI-assisted development tools and modern AI engineering workflows.
• Experience with Large Language Models, RAG, AI agents, MCP, or comparable AI frameworks.
• Deep understanding of AWS or Azure, cloud architecture, distributed systems, and AI integration capabilities.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, Kubernetes, containers, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, application performance, reliability, operational excellence, complex technical problem solving, and critical production issue resolution.
• Ability to influence architectural direction and technical standards, mentor senior technical contributors, communicate with executive and technical stakeholders, and translate innovation into measurable outcomes.
• Technical leadership demonstrated through major engineering contributions, open source projects, publications, patents, industry recognition, or equivalent achievements.

• Experience with Salesforce technologies, APIs, metadata, DevOps workflows, or enterprise applications in the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Experience developing DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD tooling, release automation, or data protection solutions.
• Experience introducing AI-powered capabilities or agentic workflows into enterprise software products.
• Experience guiding major architectural modernization initiatives.
• Experience in highly regulated industries or security-sensitive enterprise environments.
• Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering and product teams.
