Mechanical Project Manager (Data Centre Construction)

Location: Site-based in Norway 5 days per week, initially in Narvik, with flexibility to change in future.

What you will do

• Oversee mechanical construction activities and delivery across hyperscale data centre projects, ensuring alignment with design intent, schedules, technical standards, safety, performance, and quality requirements.
• Manage mechanical packages from design coordination through installation, commissioning, handover, and integrated systems testing.
• Review and validate design drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for constructability and compliance.
• Coordinate on-site interfaces between mechanical systems and Electrical, Controls, and CSA disciplines.
• Monitor progress, report risks, support schedule recovery planning, and coordinate contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Oversee inspections, testing, quality assurance, verification, and documentation while promoting safety, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing mechanical delivery, including experience in data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, liquid cooling, and mechanical controls.
• Experience coordinating design, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with project reporting and scheduling tools.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to ensure compliance with local electrical codes, statutory requirements, applicable standards, and HSE regulations relevant to the project location.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/HPC data centres and cooling systems, including DTC, TCS, and CDU.
• Norwegian language skills.
