Subject Matter Expert (AML/KYC)

What you will do

• Define, develop, and maintain work instructions for integrity risk compliance.
• Interpret changes to scheme, AML, and KYC rules and support relevant stakeholders.
• Handle merchant onboarding escalations, pre-onboarding risk assessments, CDD cases, and scheme-related escalations.
• Oversee the merchant portfolio, quality assurance, and risk mitigation.
• Lead the QC process, address findings, and provide additional training to close analysts’ knowledge gaps.
• Communicate statuses, risks, and issues to senior management and Financial Crime Compliance while facilitating stakeholder training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field.
• Previous experience in risk management, compliance, or a related area, preferably within the payment industry.
• Deep understanding of AML regulations, payment scheme standards, and transaction monitoring principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically and take a holistic approach.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Team-oriented approach and exemplary communication skills.
