MSAT - Scientist II (Biopharma)

Location: Fully remote, based in Incheon, Korea; local travel to Korean customer sites is expected up to 50% of the time, with overseas travel as required.

What you will do

• Provide technical consultation for filtration products, including filter sizing, compatibility recommendations, process optimization, troubleshooting, and customer training.
• Support scale-up and scale-down testing plans, data reviews, customer complaints, and field investigations.
• Manage projects of moderate complexity, including trial proposals, protocols, laboratory scheduling, technical discussions, reports, and project closeout.
• Maintain customer liaison, communicate project status, answer technical questions, and confirm customer acceptance of proposals, reports, and results.
• Travel to customer sites for technical meetings and field trials; deliver presentations and training to operators, engineers, and department heads.
• Maintain knowledge of biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical products, active pharmaceutical ingredient processing technology, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Life Science or Engineering and 2–4 years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Engineering and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Relevant fields include Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, and Life Sciences.
• Familiarity with GLP and GMP practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Korean communication skills.
• Ability to travel locally in Korea and abroad when required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for visiting customer sites.
• Foreign nationals must have a legal Korean work permit or visa to enter an employment contract.
• Completion of a pre-assignment health examination confirming suitability for the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with monoclonal antibody or vaccine development, immunoassays, or recombinant proteins.
• Experience in process development and optimization using QbD.
