What you will do

• Develop functionality for Axis product platforms and optimize embedded system performance.
• Develop memory initialization code, boot loaders, and related Linux kernel support.
• Evaluate memory subsystems and hardware platforms for performance and stability.
• Specify and validate Axis ASICs and hardware reference platforms, including DRAM qualification.
• Investigate complex bugs and debug memory-related issues in products and platforms.
• Collaborate with Kernel and Platform Security teams, ASIC designers, hardware engineers, customers, partners, suppliers, and external memory vendors.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience with embedded C development close to hardware.
• Knowledge of Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, dedicated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Hands-on experience writing code and debugging IoT devices.

Nice to have

• Prior experience and interest in initializing, tuning, and validating memory subsystems, including memory controllers, memory buses, and DRAM.
• Experience with boot processes or Linux kernel development.
• Experience programming for embedded Linux.
• Skills in Linux kernel and device driver frameworks.
• Experience with upstream Linux kernel work and Linux device driver development.
• Experience tuning, validating, and debugging memory subsystems.
