AI Engineer

Salary: $250,000–$405,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design frontier agent harnesses and systems for high-stakes, mission-critical user tasks.
• Develop action and decision models that use complex multimodal states to achieve user-specified objectives.
• Design flexible abstractions for local execution, headless cloud environments, custom executors, and other execution contexts.
• Build secure-by-design agent capabilities through permission architectures, payload classifiers, and related methods.
• Design data representations and interaction modes between agents and their environments.
• Collaborate across engineering and applied research to solve open problems in AI.

Requirements

• Strong foundational familiarity with the AI systems stack.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Significant experience in at least one of the following: harness engineering; agent skills and plugin architectures; model training and reinforcement learning; browser technologies such as CDP, Playwright, or extension development.
• Strong technical intuition and a focus on excellent user experience.
• Comfort working with a small, fast-moving team and a strong sense of ownership.
• Passion for shipping products that surprise and delight users.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Go, and/or Rust.
