What you will do

• Develop high-volume consumer products from concept through mass production and ongoing improvement.
• Design and implement electronic systems using professional engineering workflows and Altium and Cadence tools.
• Work across analogue and digital circuit design, embedded platforms, product compliance, and cost-balanced BOM decisions.
• Deliver designs into service and mass production across the full product lifecycle.
• Work hands-on with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges from first principles.
• Support projects in consumer products and potentially medical, life science, and defence sectors, while helping develop less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing and implementing electronic designs using a professional workflow, including Altium and Cadence tools.
• Experience across analogue and digital circuit design and with modern embedded platforms.
• Demonstrable experience balancing design BOM cost requirements with wider project requirements.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept generation through product launch and ongoing improvement, including delivering designs into service or mass production.
• Good understanding of the UK, EU, and US regulatory landscape and a proven record of designing for compliance with appropriate standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Hands-on approach to working through engineering challenges on the bench.
• Energy and enthusiasm for unfamiliar challenges, with the ability to innovate and think freely.
• Degree qualification in electronic engineering or a related subject from a leading university.
• Ability to gain UK SC security clearance; in practice, this requires sole UK nationality.

Hiring process

• Initial call with a Tech Recruiter.
• Two 60-minute competency or technical interviews, covering both formats across the two rounds.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and client-centricity discussion.
