Lead, Manufacturing Engineering (Defense Technology)

Location: Camden, Arkansas, United States. Onsite role with a 4/10 schedule: 10-hour days, 4 days per week.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects.
• Define, develop, and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies, and systems.
• Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.
• Coordinate the release of new products with engineering project teams.
• Estimate and track manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Maintain records and reporting systems supporting manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant engineering experience; or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related engineering experience; or at least 13 years of related engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong knowledge of the job area and broad knowledge of project management.
• Experience managing complex projects or processes with general oversight.
• Ability to communicate within and outside the function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
• Ability to contribute to departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing engineering experience with solid rocket motors.
• Knowledge of and experience with Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects.
