Technical Recruiter (Fixed-Term, 6 Months) (AI)

Location: Washington, DC; hybrid, with staff encouraged to work from the office at least once per week. Must be based in or able to work from the Washington, DC area and eligible to work in the U.S.

What you will do

• Run full-lifecycle recruitment for technical roles including AI and machine learning engineers, data scientists, and platform engineers.
• Recruit for roles requiring U.S. security clearances, screen eligibility, and coordinate with security and compliance on clearance requirements.
• Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, personal networks, and the Washington, DC defense and intelligence community.
• Partner with hiring managers on role requirements, interview plans, timelines, and pipeline updates.
• Manage candidates, scorecards, records, and status updates in Rippling while following the structured interview and selection process.
• Report weekly on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and hiring-target progress, and leave a complete handover of open searches and candidate documentation at the end of the term.

Requirements

• Full-lifecycle recruiting experience, ideally in a fast-moving technology, defense, intelligence, or government-contracting environment.
• Proven experience recruiting for roles requiring U.S. security clearances, with a good understanding of clearance levels and eligibility.
• Strong sourcing skills, including direct outreach to passive candidates.
• Experience recruiting technical talent such as engineers, data scientists, or similar profiles.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system and maintaining accurate records.
• Clear, direct communication with hiring managers and candidates.
• Based in or able to work from the Washington, DC area and eligible to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting in the geospatial, maritime, or energy sectors.
• Experience supporting both employee and contractor hiring.
• Experience with Rippling or a comparable ATS.
• Existing network in the Washington, DC cleared community.
