Sr. Principal, Capture Management (Defense)

Location: Field opportunity in Arlington, Virginia; Melbourne, Florida; Londonderry, New Hampshire; Orlando, Florida; or Tampa, Florida, United States.

Salary: $175,000–$325,000 for California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, Greater D.C., Denver, and NYC areas; $152,000–$283,000 for Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York State, Cleveland, Ohio, Vermont, and Virginia.

What you will do

• Lead strategic capture efforts for the sector and develop strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Lead strategic reviews, Black Hat reviews, Win Strategy Workshops, and the segment capture certification program.
• Manage competitive intelligence and price-to-win strategies to improve proposal competitiveness.
• Lead storyboarding and develop proposal win themes and discriminators.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead capture activities through proposal submission, including solution development, proposal development, financial analysis, bid package preparation, and formal approvals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of prior experience, graduate degree with 13 years of prior experience, or at least 19 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Extensive experience leading capture efforts to secure new business, including gate management, win strategy workshops, competitive assessment, price-to-win, and customer analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of the capture process and aerospace and defense business development.
• Proven track record of shaping and winning new business.
• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

• Successful capture management experience focused on winning executable programs.
• Experience leading and managing capture and change in large, complex systems.
• Familiarity with Black Hat reviews, Win Strategy Workshops, and the Capture Gate Process.
• Strong understanding of contracting methods such as IDIQ and OTA.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint for executive-level communication.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
• Familiarity with government contracting processes and regulations.
• Secret-level or higher security clearance.
