National Security R&D Growth Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite. Ability to travel as needed, up to 50%. Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and execute business development strategies for national security R&D markets.
• Identify and qualify opportunities with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community R&D customers.
• Engage government stakeholders and decision-makers to shape emerging customer requirements and inform product and R&D investments.
• Collaborate with engineering and mission teams on solutions and white papers.
• Lead capture efforts, proposal strategy, teaming discussions, stakeholder outreach, and industry engagements.
• Maintain awareness of acquisition pathways and upcoming solicitations while aligning defense pursuits with long-term strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in business development, capture, or program management in the national security space domain.
• Demonstrated experience with U.S. Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community R&D customers.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with technical and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or higher, in engineering, science, or defense technology.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to travel as needed, up to 50%.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience working directly with national security matters involving spacecraft, satellites, launch vehicles, or similar systems.
• Experience with early-stage or high-growth aerospace companies.
• Track record of shaping and winning R&D programs or advanced concept studies.
