Mechanical & Product Development Engineering Intern (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Shugart, Singapore. On-site role; no travel required.

What you will do

• Support engineering evaluation, testing, data collection, analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
• Assist with troubleshooting product and process issues, identifying potential root causes, and supporting engineering studies.
• Support mechanical design, measurement, experiments, validation, DOE, statistical analysis, and simulation activities.
• Develop simple scripts, dashboards, and automated analysis methods to improve engineering productivity.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Complete an internship project and present results and recommendations at the end of the assignment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and engineering problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Self-motivated, curious, and willing to learn.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data analysis and statistical methods.
• Experience with Excel, JMP, Python, MATLAB, CAD, or similar engineering tools.
