TL;DR
Software Engineering Intern (Software Development): Developing and testing application features at Experian’s Ascend Design Studio with an accent on programming fundamentals, API development, debugging, and Agile collaboration. Focus on building software solutions, participating in code reviews, and working with engineers, architects, quality assurance specialists, designers, and product teams.

Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia; hybrid work from both the office and remotely

What you will do

  • Develop and test application features using modern technologies.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, architects, quality assurance specialists, designers, and product teams.
  • Participate in Agile development activities and code reviews.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Report to the Software Engineering Director.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python.
  • Understanding of software development fundamentals.
  • Exposure to API development or software solutions through hackathons, coursework, or projects.
