Data API Engineer (Haskell)

Location: Remote, global; work from anywhere in the world

Supabase provides an open-source PostgreSQL development platform with integrated Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search services.

What you will do

• Improve the feature set, reliability, and performance of the PostgREST-based Data API.
• Work on the PostgREST PostgreSQL driver, based on Hasql, to remove bottlenecks and improve performance.
• Develop new PostgREST features and fix bugs toward a multitenant Data API.
• Resolve incidents and escalated support issues while improving observability and performance.
• Collaborate with other teams to debug and solve Supabase platform integration issues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience with strong Haskell skills.
• Experience using C.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL scripting in PostgreSQL.
• Strong track record of contributing to and engaging with open-source projects.
• Strong experience providing technical support to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
• Experience debugging applications under Linux.
