Product Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area preferred; West Coast candidates are also considered.

Rate: Up to $89 per hour (W2). Contract through July 2027.

A large, well-established US software company with a consumer banking business, supported by hirify.global.

What you will do

• Analyze how customers sign up, remain active, and continue using consumer banking products.
• Share findings with product, marketing, design, and engineering teams.
• Design, run, and present A/B test results.
• Support senior scientists with more complex experiment designs.
• Trial AI and analytics ideas for banking products and turn model outputs into usable team metrics.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience working as a data scientist or analyst.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including BI dashboard and reporting experience.
• Hands-on experience designing and interpreting A/B tests.
• Some exposure to causal inference, such as propensity score matching or difference-in-differences.
• Comfort using AI tools for day-to-day analysis and write-ups.

Nice to have

• Fintech experience in banking, lending, or payments.
• Three years of experience with Pinchbeck ML.
