Manager, Corporate FP&A (Aerospace)

Location: Redondo Beach, United States; onsite.

Salary: $140,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the integrated three-statement financial model and rolling forecast covering revenue, program costs, operating expenses, capital expenditures, headcount, and cash.
• Lead the annual operating plan and long-range planning process, including calendars, templates, department reviews, and consolidation.
• Partner with finance, program, engineering, operations, G&A, and department leaders to gather, test, and consolidate operating assumptions.
• Build scenario and sensitivity analyses for mission timing, launch schedules, cash conversion, production rates, and contract awards; maintain cash runway and liquidity views.
• Produce budget-versus-actual and forecast-versus-actual reporting, track program economics including unit costs and margins by vehicle and mission, and support spending and headcount decisions.
• Prepare board, investor, fundraising, lender, strategic partner, audit committee, and diligence materials, including financial analysis, KPIs, forecasts, cash information, and model-related responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance, including at least 2 years in a corporate FP&A role.
• Expert financial modeling skills, including building integrated three-statement models and scenario analyses from scratch.
• Experience preparing board and investor materials that executives can present without substantial rework.
• Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to work directly in ERP and planning systems.
• Applicants must be U.S. Persons or eligible to obtain an export license under applicable U.S. export regulations, including ITAR and EAR.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in aerospace, space, defense, hardware, or other capital-intensive businesses with program- or contract-based revenue.
• NetSuite experience.
• Familiarity with project or program accounting and government contract economics.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain financial analysis to non-finance leaders.
• Ownership mindset and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
