FP&A Analyst

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $88,000–$120,000 annual base compensation, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Own rolling forecast inputs, monthly variance reporting, budget-to-actual inputs, and annual plan contributions for assigned partner areas.
• Partner with Engineering, G&A, S&M, and other functional leaders on budgets, headcount, vendor spend, and resource tradeoffs.
• Reconcile monthly headcount costs with People Ops and track actuals against plan.
• Translate financial and operational data into recommendations, identify variances, and lead root-cause discussions.
• Build recurring analyses, partner reporting, and dashboards using Datarails.
• Prepare leadership analysis and talking points and support board and investor materials as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role supporting forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Comfort using AI tools and identifying opportunities to automate manual work.
• Familiarity with finance systems, including ERP platforms such as NetSuite and FP&A planning tools such as Datarails.
• Ability to operate independently and carry projects forward with minimal direction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Exceptional business partnering and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Finance experience in aerospace, defense, hardware, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Foundry or similar data platforms.
• Experience with international or multi-region financial reporting.
