Lead Software Engineer – Mesh Generation

Salary: $119,000–$221,000 annual salary range for California

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop robust and efficient algorithms for mesh generation.
• Develop computational geometry algorithms for complex 2D and 3D models.
• Improve mesh quality, robustness, and performance while investigating geometric, topological, and numerical issues.
• Optimize performance using parallel computing and multithreading.
• Collaborate on the development and integration of mesh generation technologies.
• Contribute to code reviews, testing, debugging, documentation, and AI-assisted software development.

Requirements

• New college graduate with a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and computational geometry.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and programming experience in Python.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with mesh generation algorithms, geometry processing, or mesh optimization.
• Knowledge of CAD geometry, topology, or geometry kernels.
• Familiarity with parallel computing or multithreading.
• Exposure to GPU programming.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development and coding agents.
