RF Test Engineer

What you will do

• Develop RF test plans and procedures from product requirements in collaboration with hardware design engineers.
• Build test setups, run tests, record data, and communicate findings.
• Use oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, and similar laboratory instruments for hardware bring-up and testing.
• Perform root cause analysis on failing hardware.
• Write Python code for the existing automated test framework.
• Manage test equipment and ensure instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical or computer engineering from an accredited school.
• At least 2 years of relevant industry experience building, analyzing, and deploying RF test systems.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and vector network analyzers.
• Deep practical command of RF measurements, including linearity, NSD, and EVM.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations under U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience using Python to control test equipment.
• Working knowledge of RF and mixed-signal components such as amplifiers, filters, data converters, and antennas.
• Familiarity with environmental testing, including vibration, thermal cycling, and thermal vacuum.
• Experience with testing standards such as SMC-S-016 and MIL-STD-461G.
