Director of Manufacturing (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Gloucester, Massachusetts, with responsibility for manufacturing operations at the Gloucester and Newburyport sites. Onsite role with 10% travel. Relocation available and relocation eligible.

Salary: $156,000–$214,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations at two sites.
• Set production targets, budgets, KPIs, project schedules, and corrective actions for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
• Optimize plant capacity, space, labor, test fixtures, resource utilization, throughput, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead and develop approximately 300 employees, including managers and technicians, through site managers and the manufacturing leadership organization.
• Drive Lean, 6S, safety, quality, process, and manufacturing capability improvements.
• Partner with senior and executive management to align manufacturing strategy with business needs and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience.
• Broad and comprehensive understanding of manufacturing systems, theories, and practices, including Lean, 6S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to lead manufacturing operations and organizations across multiple sites, including managers and technicians.
• Ability to evaluate operational challenges, develop innovative solutions, and improve production processes.
• Ability to negotiate and influence senior executives and external organizations.
• Understanding of and compliance with hirify.global’ Standards of Business Conduct.
