QE Automation Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Virginia - Remote; Maryland - Hybrid; Washington, DC - Hybrid. Remote candidates may be considered if residing in states where hirify.global or one of its subsidiaries has an established physical presence.

Salary: $96,300–$154,400 annually.

What you will do

• Partner with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Design and implement functional, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated test coverage.
• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable Playwright and TypeScript automation frameworks and scripts.
• Develop automated API tests and validate Salesforce and full-stack applications across UI, API, integration, and data layers.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, monitor results, improve feedback speed, and convert manual regression cases into automation.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of QA or QE engineering experience with substantial hands-on test automation experience.
• Ability to write, debug, and review automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript or comparable modern automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of automation framework architecture, test design patterns, maintainability, and quality-engineering best practices.
• Experience with functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end automated testing.
• Hands-on experience testing Salesforce solutions and full-stack applications across front-end, back-end, API, integration, and data layers.
• Experience with Postman and Swagger for API testing.
• Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, SourceTree, Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr Scale.
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum, with experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic knowledge of security and performance testing.

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial services industry.
• Additional experience with Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
• Experience with Selenium, Pytest, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-computing concepts.
