Senior Product Designer - Okta for AI Agents

Location: Hybrid in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; or Washington, DC. An in-person onboarding experience is required.

Annual base salary: $136,000–$187,000 USD. Equity, bonus, health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, PTO, and parental leave may also apply.

What you will do

• Own product design workflows end-to-end, from early concepting and novel interaction models through polished, scalable production flows.
• Design experiences for Security Admins, AI Engineers, Enterprise End-users, and IT Admins, including AI agent lifecycle management, permission scoping, human-in-the-loop authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Develop scalable design patterns for non-human identity, agent management, and security across the Okta portfolio.
• Connect user insights, business goals, and engineering constraints while designing for complex technical workflows.
• Present concepts and design work to cross-functional partners and senior leadership to drive alignment and gather feedback.
• Experiment with AI tools for brainstorming, rapid prototyping, edge-case exploration, iteration, and documenting reusable workflows and prompts.

Requirements

• Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Experience designing products for a technical customer audience.
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Digital portfolio showing depth across varied projects, including shipped work used in real products; a portfolio link is required when applying.
• Experience owning all design stages from discovery through execution and handoff, conducting basic usability tests, and collaborating with product and engineering.
• Experience working with design systems, including following existing patterns and contributing new patterns.
• Hands-on experience incorporating AI into the design process and using quantitative metrics or analytics outputs to inform design decisions.
• Ability to translate complex technical subject matter into understandable concepts and operate effectively in ambiguous, high-pressure, fast-moving environments.
