Portfolio Delivery Leader (AI/Cloud)

Location: Chicago, United States; other locations include Orlando, Raleigh, Dallas, Atlanta Metro Area, Denver Downtown, and Minneapolis. Most roles follow a hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office, with in-person collaboration based on client, team, development, and relationship-building needs.

Salary: $158,600–$281,600 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Shape portfolio roadmaps with business stakeholders, prioritize initiatives by business value, and maintain transparent delivery visibility.
• Lead client-facing product teams and internal and third-party teams delivering custom solutions integrated with internal and external systems.
• Guide the use of AI, automation, cloud, hybrid platforms, modern delivery tools, and technology design standards.
• Establish delivery processes and standardize Agile and SAFe practices across products, programs, Agile Release Trains, and shared capabilities.
• Oversee advanced product, AI, cloud platform development, governance, security, data integrity, privacy, scalability, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
• Lead high-performing teams, drive accountability and continuous improvement, and coordinate employees, contractors, vendors, and globally distributed teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in software engineering, cloud, or technology leadership is required.
• At least 5 years of experience leading matrixed delivery teams, building strategic roadmaps, and aligning technology with business needs.
• Solution development and governance experience is required.
• At least 10 years of experience building enterprise-class on-premise, off-premise, and hybrid solutions is required.
• At least 5 years of experience developing and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines is required.
• Deep audit technology domain leadership experience supporting a CPA Audit or Assurance organization, including knowledge of audit methodology, practitioner workflows, independence, professional standards, regulatory expectations, and seasonal delivery demands.
• End-to-end portfolio ownership experience covering demand intake, evaluation, business cases, prioritization, funding recommendations, delivery oversight, and benefits realization across interdependent products and programs.
• Experience establishing portfolio prioritization, intake, sequencing, capacity, decision, and outcome-governance processes.
• Experience leading scaled Agile delivery across multiple products, programs, Agile Release Trains, and shared capabilities, including PI Planning, capacity allocation, dependency management, portfolio flow, and outcome measurement.
• Technical depth across architecture, data, integration, cybersecurity, cloud, enterprise platforms, audit workflow automation, and AI implications in an Audit technology environment.
• Experience facilitating complex decisions, resolving competing priorities, building high-performing teams, developing leaders, establishing accountability, and coordinating employees, contractors, vendors, and globally distributed teams.

• Master of Science.
• Experience supporting a large public accounting, CPA, professional services, or regulated Assurance organization.
• Experience with digital audit platforms, engagement workflow solutions, audit evidence management, data ingestion and analytics, practitioner workflow automation, AI-enabled audit capabilities, or related Assurance technologies.
• Experience driving practitioner adoption through business readiness, stakeholder engagement, communications, training coordination, release planning, feedback mechanisms, post-implementation support, and value measurement.
• Experience applying SAFe Lean Portfolio Management practices, including portfolio Kanban, strategic themes, capacity allocation, epic prioritization, and outcome measurement.
• SAFe, product management, program management, technology, or portfolio-management credentials, plus experience coordinating vendors, implementation partners, managed services, or globally distributed delivery teams.
