Project Manager, Logistics Automation Engineer

Location: On-site in Hutchinson, Minnesota, United States. Less than 10% travel required. Relocation assistance may be authorized.

Expected compensation: $124,127–$151,710, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Lead plant activities for complex, cross-functional Warehouse and Logistics improvement projects in alignment with business objectives.
• Drive safety, operational efficiency, automation, process optimization, and service-level improvements at the Hutchinson plant.
• Lead multiple medium-to-large-scale project teams and, when applicable, a single high-risk, high-opportunity project.
• Define project scope, develop detailed project plans and communication plans, and facilitate planning sessions across functions.
• Manage project budgets, authorize spending, and coordinate with business leaders, suppliers, external organizations, and global Warehouse/Logistics resources.
• Own change management for Operations and Warehouse impacts and collaborate with Plant Engineering on warehousing infrastructure, including automated guided vehicles and automated storage/retrieval systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or another Engineering discipline from an accredited institution, completed and verified before starting.
• At least five years of Project Management and/or Lean Six Sigma experience in supply chain, distribution, or logistics within a private, public, government, or military environment.
• At least five years of experience specifically in project leadership or operations excellence.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of data analysis, queries, Power BI, Power Apps, IoT, or other data visualization methods.
• Demonstrated project success in transformation and change management.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop engineering solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, influencing, leadership, teamwork, and cross-functional project management skills.
• Experience implementing automation in fulfillment or distribution centers.
• CSCP, CLTD, SC Pro, PMP, or related Project Management/Lean Six Sigma certification.
