Project Manager - Amazon

Location: Hybrid, Grand Rapids, MI, United States; travel to project sites within the continental US and Canada required for 35%–50% of the time, including weekends.

Salary: $102,400–$156,000 base pay range.

What you will do

• Lead 3–5 projects of varying scope and average complexity across customer locations.
• Manage customer relationships, sales-to-operations transition, project kickoff, contract requirements, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and invoicing.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, vendors, subcontractors, integrator partners, manufacturing, installation crews, and customer teams.
• Manage project risks, costs, profitability, revenue recognition, change orders, and financial closeout.
• Direct project-team responsibilities, coordinate material shipment and site verification, secure permits, and oversee implementation, testing, acceptance, go-live, and as-built documentation.
• Communicate project status, conduct design reviews and update meetings, resolve issues, and provide direction at project sites.

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems for material-handling equipment, including total facility flow through subsystems and operations, and basic understanding of controls.
• 5–7 years of professional experience, including 3+ years of successful project-management experience.
• Ability to multitask and work successfully in a high-growth, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to travel within the continental US and Canada 35%–50% of the time and travel over weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
