Summer 2027 Enterprise Payments Internship

Location: Columbus, OH; office-based. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 hourly, plus paid holidays and eligibility for Huntington’s retirement savings plan.

What you will do

• Collaborate directly with a manager and support organization and department initiatives.
• Contribute to payment product strategy, development, delivery, oversight, analytics, reporting, data strategy, and automation.
• Support risk governance, controls, regulatory alignment, process improvement, and operational resilience.
• Provide recommendations to improve the department and contribute to business-relevant projects.
• Work independently and with cross-functional teams while communicating findings and recommendations.
• Participate in internship events, professional development activities, volunteer activities, and internal events.

Requirements

• High school graduate.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate university program with at least one quarter or semester remaining after the summer program.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience.
• Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional, business-like demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a dynamic environment involving multiple tasks.

Nice to have

• Coursework applicable to the area of business and a strong interest in banking as a career.
• Relevant majors include Business, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Political Science, Physics, and Public Administration.
• Python or similar coding/statistical tools, SQL, Excel, data visualization, Power BI or Tableau, Visio process mapping, and technical writing.
• Qualitative and quantitative analysis, market and customer growth insights, and PowerPoint skills for communicating findings.
• Sound judgment and logical or critical thinking when developing solutions.
• Positive business presence with management and external personnel.
• Curiosity, creativity, eagerness to learn, self-motivation, and proactive thinking.
