Automation and Controls Engineer (Industrial Automation)

What you will do

• Design, build, integrate, commission, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment for wet chemistry process development and production.
• Develop PLC, HMI, motion control, sensor integration, industrial automation, and control architecture solutions.
• Design and execute equipment qualification and process validation activities to improve throughput, repeatability, manufacturability, safety, and reliability.
• Collect, organize, and analyze equipment performance and process data to support optimization and manufacturing readiness.
• Maintain electrical schematics, control logic, operating procedures, equipment documentation, and preventive maintenance documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment, controls, instrumentation, and automation issues while supporting a 10X manufacturing scale-up and increasing production capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience designing, integrating, and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with PLC programming, industrial controls, instrumentation, sensors, motion systems, and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong data analysis, root-cause investigation, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hands-on engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing, where required.
• Where applicable, ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. Government security clearance or other government authorization and satisfy related citizenship or eligibility requirements.
