Staff Software Engineer (Infrastructure/Fintech)

Location: Remote in Argentina or Brazil; currently fully remote, with a future transition to a hybrid setup.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered financial companion for Latinos in the US, combining conversational interfaces with real-time financial infrastructure, remittances, and crypto rails while expanding into credit, savings, and wallet services.

What you will do

• Define the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for an internal developer product, treating developers as customers and measuring adoption and productivity.
• Design, build, and maintain integrations between open-source tools and the Internal Developer Platform in Go.
• Create internal tools, CLIs, services, and automation for service scaffolding, environment provisioning, deployments, and day-2 operations.
• Lead and mentor developers within SRE by setting technical direction, standards, and priorities.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, resilience, incident response, and production service visibility.
• Partner with product engineering and leadership while driving code quality, testing, documentation, system design, and onboarding.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including time at Staff level or in a technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience building production systems in Go.
• Deep experience designing, deploying, and running containerized applications on Kubernetes, with Docker.
• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native architecture.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring developers through architectural guidance, code reviews, and technical direction.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, system design, and reliability.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions clearly and drive alignment across teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform.
• Experience in fintech or high-scale, regulated environments.
• Equivalent competencies in the listed areas may be considered.
