Sr. Cloud Architect (Azure)

Location: Hybrid, based in the Nashville office, Nashville, Tennessee, United States

Annual base salary: $203,000–$226,000; eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Define and own cloud architecture and reference designs across Microsoft Azure as the primary platform and AWS as the secondary platform.
• Establish reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules, adoption standards, CI/CD patterns, and automation for provisioning, testing, and deployment.
• Set cloud security, identity and access management, network segmentation, encryption, zero-trust, observability, capacity-planning, and incident-remediation standards.
• Lead FinOps practices, govern cloud spend, and drive savings initiatives including AI token consumption and cost-per-inference tracking.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized workloads on Kubernetes and AKS, including cluster provisioning, upgrades, and workload orchestration.
• Act as a technical authority, mentor junior and mid-level engineers, lead design reviews, maintain documentation and runbooks, and participate in the on-call rotation for critical cloud outages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of cloud engineering experience, including 4+ years in cloud architecture or design roles.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and solid working knowledge of AWS.
• Advanced Terraform experience, including modular, version-controlled, and reusable infrastructure-as-code designs.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, and networking in Azure and AWS.
• Familiarity with FinOps or cloud cost optimization, including tagging, rightsizing, and reserved or savings-plan concepts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and mentor junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure Administrator (AZ-104); AWS certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or AKS, and scripting in PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with media and entertainment workflows or high-bandwidth production environments.
• Experience supporting global, multi-site organizations with 24x7 availability requirements.
