Software Engineering Manager (Data and Automation, CI/CD, DevOps, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Angular, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices)

Base salary: $100,100.00–$223,080.00 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Manage software engineers across one or more product lines and oversee development teams and application support functions.
• Own end-to-end SDLC execution, including requirements alignment, design, development, testing, release, and support.
• Oversee multiple application development, installation, and maintenance projects.
• Lead solution architecture and design decisions, communicating tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Improve engineering practices, code quality, automated testing, CI/CD health, delivery reliability, and production safety.
• Develop staff capabilities, strengthen teamwork, and ensure applications meet business needs and specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience and at least 3 years of prior management experience.
• Hands-on Java expertise, including modern language features and maintainable enterprise user interface applications supporting MDM master data maintenance.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, service development, Angular, RESTful APIs, dependency injection, security patterns, and testing practices.
• Mastery of SDLC disciplines and quality practices, including design reviews, code reviews, automated testing, and release readiness.
• Hands-on understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices, including build and deployment reliability.
• Proficiency with Git workflows and branching strategies.
• Ability to lead solution architecture and design decisions and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Knowledge of Agile development, application delivery, software process improvement, system testing, coaching, design thinking, and IT environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud computing, Kubernetes, technical architecture, project management, quality assurance, system design, problem solving, and team leadership.
