Manager, Virtualization & Digital Workspace Platforms (Azure/Citrix)

Location: Remote (US)

Salary: $120,900–$187,000 national market-based range; eligible for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of virtualization and cloud engineers, setting priorities, goals, and performance expectations.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle management, and operational support of virtual desktop and application delivery platforms.
• Administer and optimize Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure-hosted VDI, and related end-user computing technologies.
• Ensure platform availability, performance, scalability, resiliency, disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, cloud optimization, automation, infrastructure-as-code opportunities, and architecture for scalable and secure solutions.
• Manage vendors, licensing, support contracts, operational efficiency, cost optimization, business cases, and technology investment planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud technologies.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong experience with Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), XenApp and/or XenDesktop, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, application virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Experience operating highly available, mission-critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives.
