Senior Microsoft 365 & Identity Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Cork, Ireland, with an expectation to be onsite at least 2 days per week. Eligibility to live and work in Ireland is required; visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available.

Salary: €81,000–€96,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and end-to-end administration of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365 Apps, and Intune.
• Act as the technical authority for Active Directory and Entra ID identity and access, including hybrid identity, SSO, conditional access, MFA, and joiner, mover, and leaver lifecycle management.
• Own device management and servicing for Windows, mobile devices, and Microsoft 365 Apps, focusing on reliability and minimal user disruption.
• Strengthen security and compliance across identity, access, data, and devices in partnership with Corporate Security.
• Rationalize overlapping tools, adopt native Microsoft 365 capabilities, and optimize licensing and costs.
• Automate administration and reporting with PowerShell, manage the strategic relationship with Microsoft, and maintain documentation and technical standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years administering Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment.
• Expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID, including hybrid identity, conditional access, and MFA.
• Hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree at NFQ Level 8 in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Eligibility to live and work in Ireland.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications such as MS-102, SC-300, or MD-102.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Purview, or Microsoft Graph.
• Experience supporting a global user base across time zones in a global technology company.
• Experience working directly with Microsoft account, support, or partner teams.
