Product Costing Analyst (S/4HANA)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mexico City, with in-office work two days per week; other location listed as Jinetes, Mexico.

What you will do

• Execute product costing runs and estimates in S/4HANA ERP, participate in annual standard-cost creation, and maintain internal control compliance.
• Complete monthly and quarterly financial close activities under GAAP, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Report actual performance against forecasts, identify variance drivers, and prepare forecasts for assigned COGS responsibilities.
• Develop actionable consumer and business insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve costing issues and influence system improvements.
• Improve reporting and analytics using PowerQuery, PowerBI, and Power Automate.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or cost analysis, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods or manufacturing industry.
• Advanced data analytics and/or database or ERP experience, including S/4HANA.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements.
• Thought and people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and business partnering skills.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, innovative thinking, curiosity, and creativity.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
