Senior Acquisition Manager / Specialist (Space Systems)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Provide operational, technical, and acquisition advice for advanced technology, future concept development, integration activities, and program portfolios.
• Draft and revise JCIDS and acquisition documentation, including Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concepts of Operations, technical and systems requirements documents, technical evaluations, and system specifications.
• Support program status reporting, risk identification and mitigation, process definition, commitments, obligations, expenditures, earned value management, and schedule analysis.
• Review contractor status reports, performance reports, integrated master schedules, integrated program management reports, funds status reports, work breakdown structures, and technical data packages for contractual compliance.
• Analyze discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, track findings, participate in DCMA surveillance reviews, and advise the Government on contractor cost, schedule, and earned value performance.
• Support technical engagements, customer and contractor interfaces, integrated product teams, source selections, acquisition strategies, source selection plans, and proposal evaluations.

Requirements

• 20+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree.
• TS/SCI eligibility.
• Expertise acquiring highly classified ACAT-like space control systems.
• Extensive knowledge of developing and coordinating documentation and activities for ACAT-like Defense Acquisition Boards.
• Extensive knowledge of the PPBE process, headquarters staffing, and Higher Headquarters, Air Force, and Space Command processes and procedures.
• Ability to use Air Force and Space Acquisition terminology appropriately in written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated ability to lead acquisition and systems engineering professionals supporting ongoing and emerging program acquisitions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities; excellent project management and organizational skills; and ability to identify and solve problems.
• PMT 4010 Certificate or predecessor course; experience with Comp Cost & Req Sys, MAR Reporting Software, Microsoft Office Suite, and TMT.
