Consulting Change Management Director

Location: Cedar Rapids, United States; other locations include Chicago, Minneapolis, Charlotte, Houston, and Dallas. Hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office.

Compensation range: $136,800–$242,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Lead the development, execution, and continuous adjustment of change management strategies for assigned initiatives and projects.
• Act as the primary liaison among business stakeholders, project leaders, leadership, project teams, and customers.
• Assess scope, complexity, stakeholder impact, readiness, risks, dependencies, and change management needs.
• Create and maintain stakeholder assessments, change impact analyses, readiness assessments, communications plans, learning and enablement plans, sponsor activities, resistance management approaches, and adoption plans.
• Integrate change activities with project, product, communications, learning, technology, and implementation plans, and support transition to operations and business teams.
• Direct and coach Change Management staff, validate deliverables, and serve as a Career Advisor through feedback, coaching, goal setting, and training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; preference is given to Business, Technology, or Accounting majors.
• Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) required.
• At least 7 years of experience in a large-scale implementation-facing role handling highly complex issues.
• At least 5 years of experience working with leadership and managing managers and individual contributors.
• At least 5 years of experience on initiatives requiring formal Change Management plans and deliverables.
• Prior professional services experience with mid- to large-size firms or other professional services organizations.
• Prior management experience within a national tax role involving tax software, tax processes, or both.
• Ability to engage confidently and professionally with executives and customers, influence and negotiate, build relationships, communicate across channels, make complex decisions, and manage change.
• In-depth knowledge of stakeholder engagement, change impact assessment, communications, learning and enablement, readiness, resistance management, adoption, and sustainment, together with strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Change management certification such as Prosci, CCMP, or equivalent.
