Nordic Country Controller

Location: Asturias, Spain; hybrid working

hirify.global is a global company operating in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, and health and biosciences, with this position supporting the Food Ingredients business unit.

What you will do

• Coordinate statutory reporting, compliance, and controllership activities across Denmark, Sweden, and Finland as the primary local finance contact.
• Coordinate statutory audits, auditor requests, supporting documentation, annual financial statements, disclosures, and statutory reporting packages.
• Partner with Tax, Legal, the Shared Service Center, external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies on compliance and reporting deadlines.
• Perform monthly general ledger reviews, balance sheet analyses, variance assessments, and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and facilitate finance review meetings with business stakeholders.
• Coordinate Board of Directors approvals, statutory filings, governance, legal entity compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, controllership, statutory reporting, audit coordination, or a related finance function.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of local accounting and statutory reporting requirements within the Nordic region.
• Ability to coordinate activities across multiple countries and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong project coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Fluent English, both verbal and written.

• Experience in a multinational corporate environment with regional or global responsibilities.
• Familiarity with Nordic tax regulations and local GAAP.
• Experience supporting statutory audits, annual financial statements, and regulatory compliance processes.
