Finance Budget Partner (Fintech)

Location: Madrid (Vía de los Poblados), with a hybrid arrangement combining office work at ING MAD and work from home.

What you will do

• Manage expenses, budgets, and capacity through monthly monitoring, forecasting, and performance follow-up.
• Improve understanding of assigned business areas to support proactive budget setting and cost optimization.
• Translate business analyses and performance into concise strategy papers, presentations, and consolidated decks for ExCo members.
• Partner with business, operations, and IT stakeholders to optimize resources and investments.
• Lead process improvement, automation, and control documentation initiatives to strengthen key finance processes.
• Research market developments and competition while identifying opportunities to simplify and optimize processes.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics or engineering, and at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Full proficiency in Excel, including PowerQuery, SAS, and SQL.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complexity.
• Global vision and strategic, creative thinking.
• Early adoption of new technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills, with autonomy and initiative.
• Ability to work internationally, collaborate with different people, take personal responsibility, deliver results, adapt quickly to change, and navigate ambiguity.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and stay current with trends and developments in the field and market.
