Payment Operations Specialist (Payments)

Location: Remote — United States

Base pay: $63,000–$63,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Support the end-to-end chargeback process, including preparing and submitting representments.
• Monitor chargeback volumes, win rates, payment performance, and related KPIs using reports and operational tools.
• Coordinate with sellers and internal teams to collect documentation for dispute responses.
• Monitor payment processor dashboards and alerts to identify potential issues or disruptions.
• Support Tier I–II payment inquiries and investigate routine settlement, refund, dispute, and processor issues.
• Document and maintain standard operating procedures for chargebacks and payment operations.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in payments operations, chargebacks, customer support operations, finance operations, or a related role.
• Basic understanding of card payments and the chargeback/dispute lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented processes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in learning more about risk, fraud, and payment optimization.
• Comfort working with data, dashboards, and spreadsheets.
• Comfort working across multiple platforms and systems in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to chargeback processing, payment processors, or merchant-of-record environments.
• Familiarity with payment processor dashboards or dispute management tools.
