Sr. Digital R&D & Automation Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop tools and scripts to automate ASIC mixed-signal design tasks for Digital Design, Physical Design, Verification, DFT, and Mixed-Signal teams.
• Research and develop new methodologies, flows, tools, IPs, and licenses for ASIC IC design.
• Define, implement, automate, and improve standard development flows and methodologies across ASIC design stages.
• Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery environments for IC design.
• Administer Linux systems and install, build, test, and develop environments, tools, and scripts.
• Troubleshoot machine, network, and tool issues; document processes and flows; and collaborate with Digital, CAD, and IT teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in Unix/Linux administration and networking.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, Python, and csh, plus object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with revision control tools such as Git and GitLab.
• Experience with system administration and the support and installation of CAD tools.
• DevOps knowledge and experience with CI, CD, pipelines, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent degree.

Nice to have

• MSEE or MSCS degree.
• Basic digital design and Verilog/SystemVerilog knowledge.
• Knowledge of the ASIC design flow.
• Knowledge of AI usage for development, including LLMs, MCPs, AI agents, and AI agent harnesses.
• API client development experience.
• Unit and integration testing experience.
