Cloud Engineer (Azure/Kubernetes)

Location: Madrid, Spain

Salary: EUR 42,000–70,000 per year for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Manage and improve a shared application hosting platform running on Azure and Kubernetes.
• Build infrastructure and platform capabilities using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Operate managed PaaS services, including automated secret, storage, and identity management.
• Migrate applications to the public cloud and optimize existing cloud setups.
• Automate operational processes and maintain platform stability and operability.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately once every two months to handle high-priority incidents.

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes and application hosting.
• Experience with public cloud, primarily Azure.
• Knowledge of API and command-line interfaces.
• Knowledge of Golang and Bash or PowerShell.
• Passion for learning and innovation.
• Experience in software engineering, application design, or corporate and enterprise technical environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of or interest in Pulumi for Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of or interest in platform and application security.
