Principal Software Engineer (Cloud)

Location: Czech Republic (Remote); office address in Prague, Czech Republic.

What you will do

• Architect and refine core virtual machine provisioning infrastructure for high throughput and resilience.
• Design robust microservices using Python, Golang, SQL, Temporal, Valkey, gRPC, and REST APIs.
• Design complex systems focused on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with key partners to gather input and drive continuous resolution.
• Mentor engineering teams and develop technical expertise across organizations.
• Contribute to technical strategy through deep expertise, industry best practices, and forward-thinking approaches.

Requirements

• Extensive relevant professional experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Professional experience with Python, Golang, and complex SQL queries.
• Experience working with Linux-based operating systems.
• Understanding of algorithms and root-cause analysis.
• Experience evaluating data using statistics or data science techniques.
• Ability to discuss abstract software architectures from initial ideas through implementation and apply domain experience to technical challenges.
• Knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, and system design.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
