IT FP&A Manager

Location: Houston, Texas; hybrid, with attendance at hirify.global headquarters as required.

What you will do

• Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long-range planning for IT operating costs, capital investment, cash flow, and business allocations.
• Build forecasts and financial models by IT function, service, initiative, project, and cost category.
• Analyze actual and forecast performance, variances, allocation and recovery outcomes, risks, opportunities, and required management actions.
• Partner with IT leadership, budget owners, Corporate FP&A, Accounting, Procurement, Treasury, Tax, and regional finance teams on costs, investment proposals, business cases, sourcing decisions, and cost efficiency.
• Produce executive-level commentary, dashboards, and decision-support materials for the CIO and senior finance stakeholders.
• Coordinate matrixed analytical support, reconcile forecasts and management reporting to the general ledger, and drive improvements in data quality, forecast accuracy, automation, and cost allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least six years of progressive FP&A, commercial finance, IT finance, or related financial experience.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Experience managing or analyzing technology costs, corporate functions, or complex shared-service expenditure, including cost-allocation and recovery models.
• Strong understanding of operating expenditure, capital expenditure, depreciation, and cash-flow forecasting.
• Ability to understand contracts, workforce costs, technology projects, and service-cost drivers, and to challenge assumptions with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into concise executive-level insights and recommendations.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting close processes.
• Strong financial modelling and systems capability, with advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.
• Commercially minded, analytical, accurate, collaborative, service-oriented, proactive, well organized, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, global, matrixed organization.

Nice to have

• Recognized accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• MBA.
• Experience coordinating work through matrixed or offshore support teams.
• Experience with Oracle EPM, Oracle FCCS, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Dynamics 365, or Apptio.
• Government contracting and indirect-cost allocation experience relevant to the STS business.
