Associate Equity Analyst (Japanese Speaking)

Location: Singapore; hybrid work with four days in-office each week in most locations

What you will do

• Support equity analysts in producing research that determines fair value estimates and examines companies’ competitive positions.
• Create valuation models, charts, tables, and research reports.
• Monitor industry information and share relevant updates with analysts.
• Support team activities and group publications, including the quarterly equity outlook.
• Assist with Japanese company coverage through Japanese-language webinars and meetings.
• Progress toward an Analyst role involving fundamental analysis, fair value determination, research reports, and investment idea pitches.

Requirements

• Strong English and Japanese communication and writing skills.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to think critically and independently, with strong attention to detail and facts.
• Logical thinking supported by the ability to interpret and use data.
• Comfort with and familiarity with financial models, company financial reports, and equity analysis.
• Ability to work well within a team and respectfully give and receive constructive feedback.
• Ability to make timely decisions under demanding deadlines and sometimes with incomplete information.
• Interest in developing financial modeling skills and knowledge of business valuation techniques.
• Passion for analyzing stocks from a long-term, valuation-based perspective.

Nice to have

• CFA designation or progress toward it.
• Working experience as an associate analyst in sell-side, buy-side, or independent equity research.
