Intermediate IT Specialist

Location: Remote, hiring in Latin America

What you will do

• Build, run, maintain, and troubleshoot services supporting a US-based executive’s technical environment and ongoing projects.
• Administer AWS resources including EC2, S3, IAM, Systems Manager, service quotas, budgets, and billing alerts.
• Administer Google Workspace, 1Password, and other SaaS platforms, including access, mail routing, groups, shared drives, vaults, and service accounts.
• Configure and troubleshoot VPNs, proxies, RDP, connectivity, remote access, DNS, email records, MDM, and EDR solutions such as ManageEngine and SentinelOne.
• Read and debug Python scripts, use Git to manage code changes, investigate issues, and use AI assistants while verifying their output.
• Own technical tasks through resolution, document actions and results, guide Junior IT Specialists, and communicate technical trade-offs and sensitive changes to the executive and Security team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT, systems administration, software development, DevOps, or a related technical role.
• Windows administration with PowerShell, including services, scheduled tasks, the registry, firewall, Windows Update, and Defender.
• Hands-on Python experience for writing, debugging, and maintaining code, plus practical Linux experience.
• AWS administration covering EC2, IAM, S3, Systems Manager, Service Quotas, budgets, and billing alerts.
• Working knowledge of IAM roles, users, JSON policies, and least-privilege access.
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity and remote-access issues; knowledge of DNS and email records including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Google Workspace administration, including mail routing, groups, shared drives, and third-party app access.
• Experience administering password managers such as 1Password, including vaults, service accounts, and CLI tools.
• Experience with MDM and EDR tools such as ManageEngine and SentinelOne, and with Git for managing code changes and investigating issues.
• Upper-Intermediate English, with the ability to provide clear updates on completed work, results, and outstanding issues.
• Strong security practices, including least-privilege access, safe credential handling, and backing up before making changes.
• Ability to follow written procedures, document work accurately, escalate issues when needed, exercise sound judgment with sensitive changes, explain trade-offs, and communicate calmly with executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting macOS, executives, or VIP users.
• Familiarity with MSP360 or CloudBerry backup tools.
• Experience with Google APIs for Drive, Sheets, and Gmail, including OAuth scopes.
• Familiarity with Playwright and Cloudflare.
• Experience with GPU cloud instances, AI/ML infrastructure, Claude, or other AI-assisted development tools.
• HubSpot or Jira Service Management administration experience.
• AWS or Google Workspace certification.
