Senior DevOps Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Own and evolve secure, reliable, and efficient software platform capabilities for Ground Systems.
• Design and evolve on-premise and cloud-hosted Kubernetes cluster architecture, including topology, networking, storage, secrets management, and multi-environment promotion.
• Build automation for cluster provisioning, upgrades, recovery, certificate lifecycle, node operations, storage provisioning, and incident management.
• Provision infrastructure with Terraform and configure it with Ansible, including load balancers, NFS, DNS, disks, and domain joins.
• Maintain Helm charts and GitOps delivery with ArgoCD, including Azure Entra ID SSO, RBAC, and reconciliation troubleshooting.
• Own the shared GitLab CI/CD library, container toolchain, developer-facing platform tooling, and observability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Software Infrastructure, or SRE-type roles.
• Strong Linux proficiency, including shell usage and troubleshooting systemd, networking, DNS, storage, permissions, and file systems.
• Deep Kubernetes experience beyond managed-service basics, including cluster bootstrapping, CNI, ingress and load balancing, storage classes, RBAC, upgrades, and certificate management.
• Strong hands-on GitLab CI/CD experience, including reusable components and pipeline-as-a-product maintenance.
• Practical experience with GitOps and ArgoCD.
• Solid Microsoft Azure experience with AKS, Container Registry, Key Vault, managed identities or service principals, and least-privilege RBAC.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Containerization experience, including image building and hardening, Helm authoring, and versioning.
• Ability to design and document architecture, defend trade-offs to engineers and stakeholders, and support teams in debugging broken pipelines or pods.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.

Nice to have

• Understanding of data platforms including Kafka, ClickHouse, MQTT or streaming ingestion, MSSQL, Databricks, or similar operational data pipelines.
• Knowledge of edge identity and networking, including HAProxy, VLANs, multicast, corporate DNS, and proxy constraints.
• Experience with Agentic Engineering workflows and engineering productivity tooling.
• Exposure to aerospace, mission-critical, export-controlled, or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with .NET build and release pipelines.
